Johor Darul Ta’zim Football Club (JDT FC) had won the Liga Super, Malaysia’s top football league for five consecutive years.

The record only shows how dominant JDT FC has been in the domestic league with no team unable to unseat them just yet as they look good to clinch the sixth title this season.

Why is JDT FC so invincible as league champions?

Here’s three reasons that make them the greatest football club in Malaysia this decade.

The best players in Malaysia

JDT FC used to be (and is still) called the second Malaysian national football team.  This is because many of their players have been called to play for the national team, forming the backbone of the side that represents Malaysia at national level.  Some quarters had criticize the abundance of JDT FC players in the Malaysian national team, but when they keep scoring and performing for both JDT FC and the Malaysian team, it is hard to deny these players of the spot.

Nationwide supply of youth players

While JDT FC represents the state of Johor in Malaysia, their players aren’t all from JDT FC.  JDT FC is likely the first team in Malaysia to recruit youngsters from outside of the state into their world-class JDT FC – Valencia CF Football Academy, in which these players would be home groomed to one day play for JDT FC.  This means JDT will never ‘dry-up’ in talent and would have constant supply of young talented players.

Good management

Unlike its other rivals in Malaysia, JDT FC is one of the few teams which does not have financial problems.  Although it is a fact that JDT FC is cash rich, but proper management is important to ensure that the money is well spent and there is positive turnaround.  JDT FC has a good management structure which emphasizes on proper management of finances and this has ensured proper planning for future undertakings, including proper care of current situations.
