Lindsey Horan

With the Woman’s World Cup 2019 set to hold between 7th June and 7th July 2019, here are some players to watch out for in the tournament:

1. Lindsey Horan – USA

Lindsey Horan is not a new name in the women football world as she has been performing excellently in the United States for the last couple of seasons, and thus she is expected to perform even better at the upcoming FIFA 2019 World Cup scheduled for June – July.

Although the 24-year-old plays a midfielder, she is also good at the forward role, which means she’ll add some versatility to her side while they face their opponents in the tournament.

2. Nikita Parris – England

This is yet another fine player to watch out for in the Woman’s World Cup 2019. Nikita Parris is a Manchester City player with superb skills and goal-scoring ability. Her club side was able to go unbeaten in the recently concluded season [2018/2019], and one of the reasons that accounted for this feat is because of the 19 goals scored by this goal machine. That said, Parris is indeed one of the most in-form players in the world, and you can’t afford not to watch her play in France next month.

3. Wendie Renard – France

Wendie Renard is a French footballer with amazing defending skills and she is often regarded as “one of the most consistent defenders in the women’s game”. The 28-year-old has featured in more than 100 games for her country, which indicates how relevant and indispensable she is in her team. Beyond reasonable doubts, Renard’s impact will surely be felt in the upcoming Women’s world cup.

4. Marta Vieira da Silva (Brazil)

Marta is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a forward in the Women’s Soccer League and Brazil National team. The 33-year-old is well known for her constant thirst for goals. She is currently the player with most goals scored in the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and she was also crowned the Best FIFA Women’s World Player in 2018. Marta would want to perform even better than ever, and that’s one of the reasons why you can’t afford to miss her performances in the soon-to-start FIFA Women’s World Cup.

5. Yanara Aedo (Chile)

This list would be too shallow if it fails to feature this incredible female footballer. Yanara Aedo is a midfielder at Chile National Women’s team, and she always put her best whenever she is on the pitch. Part of her extraordinary performances was at the Qualifier’s stage where she scored three goals out of the team’s thirteen; sending them straight into the World cup.

There are some many other star players to watch out for in the 2019 Women’s World Cup so you can expect the tournament to be an interesting one.
