As the Game Week 38 comes this weekend, Liverpool fans are hopeful that Brighton and Hove Albion would spring more than just surprises against Manchester City.

They are hoping that Brighton would be able to defeat the mighty City, sending the Premier League title to Anfield where The Reds would be hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The odds in fact are against Liverpool because Manchester City do not have a habit of losing key matches, especially with the Premier League title at stake.  Brighton themselves have not won in nine matches straight, making it even more impossible for City to screw up their last match in the 2019 Premier League.

In fact, City outplayed two tough opponents in Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester United to keep themselves on a winning streak and on course to create a historic 11th Premier League title win.

Liverpool were hopeful that Spurs and United would stop the aggressive City, but City marched through every team placed in front of them, doing just enough to secure at least one crucial goal wo send home the full three points for their title race.

But ensuring City is defeated at the Amex Stadium is only one of the challenges Liverpool will need to encounter if they are to win the league.

This is because Liverpool will need to also do a professional job at Anfield when they take on Wolves.

Wolves are seventh in the league and despite not being able to qualify to the EUROPA League, they are a dangerous side.

Wolves are on a three-match winning streak and they would likely want to extend that record by defeating Liverpool this Saturday.

To make matters worse, stats show that Wolves does not give in to big clubs like Liverpool easily on their away trips.  This season alone, Wolves held Arsenal, United and Chelsea to a stalemate while defeating Spurs soundly as well.

The only team in the current top six of the Premier League to defeat Wolves at home is City, and probably Liverpool, if the Red can win the last match of the season.

That said, it would be nothing short of a miracle for Liverpool to lift the Premier League this time around but if there’s one day the Liverpool fans would want for a miracle to happen it, would be this time.
