The season has yet to end for Manchester United, but their new kit for the 2019/2020 has already been leaked by an apparel online store.

Apparently, the store put up the new kit for sale last Tuesday, and had the kit removed once the mistake was realized.

No one knows exactly if the leak was intentional, but the new kit according to DailyMail, is set to pay homage to the treble winning season of 1999.

Twenty years had passed since the historic feat and United seems keen to rekindle their fond memories of the glory days through the new 2019/2020 kit.

Colored in United’s traditional red, the kit looks almost like the 1999 kit with exception to some additions that are meant to remind one of what happened 20 years ago in United’s football history.

The most obvious change from the 1999 kit is the collar.  The 2019/2020 kit collar is not white as the older version, but instead black lined.

The new kit also has the dates of each of United’s three 1999 trophy wins: ‘16.05.1999’ for the Premier League, ‘22.05.1999’ for the FA Cup, and ‘26.05.1999’ for the Champions League.

It also bears black tags that says ’90+1′ and ’90+3’ which refers to the times goals were scored against Bayern Munich in the Champions League final then.

Also changed is the United logo.  Instead of the white shield behind the United logo used in 1999, the newer edition features a black shield instead.  The United’s logo remains in gold colors.

It is unsure if the new kit would evoke nostalgia among United fans nonetheless because today’s fans are more concerned about being in the Champions League rather than being remembered of the good old glory days which can never be brought back.
