In a few weeks, the season will end, and every club has begun to shortlist players that they want to sign as the summer transfer window looms closer.
In recent years the transfer market has become very inflated the new average price for a player is now around £30 to £40 million. Many clubs cannot afford to bring out that huge amount of money to buy players for their squads during the season.
There are a lot of aging players whose contract will end this summer, and they’ll become free agents. Buying those types of players usually adds experience to any squad.

Vincent Kompany is arguably one of the greatest defenders to have played in the Premier League. The Manchester City captain’s contract will expire at City this season, and he will be a free agent. His wealth of experience and defending capabilities will be useful to any club.

Herrera is no doubt a very talented player. He had performed well during his time at United and showed his class when he marked Eden Hazard out of game against Chelsea, where United won 2-0.
