Ryan-Sessegnon-Fulham-min

Fulham caretaker manager Scott Parker admits he will do what he can to get the best out of Ryan Sessegnon after he fell down the pecking order under former coach Claudio Ranieri.

The England youth international has made 25 appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring two goals.

However, the 18-year-old has started just three of the last 12 games with Ranieri deciding to use other options. The Italian lost his job after the defeat to Southampton in midweek but Parker is ready to put his own stamp on things.

Sessegnon was crucial to Fulham’s promotion last season and was named Championship player of the year, and Parker admits he needs his confidence back.

“Ryan Sessegnon is an outstanding, talented football player who has played a lot of football. He was pivotal to getting this club into this division,” Parker told the Daily Mail.

“For someone at such a young age to do what he did last year, and even now for someone at such a young age to be in the top league which is the best in the world is amazing.

“Like anything, when you’re a young boy, you have moments when you have little dips. When you’re young, sometimes it’s harder to deal with than when you’re older and have past experience.

“But certainly Ryan Sessegnon is someone that we all love, whether that’s the fans, the actual club, the academy, the coaching staff.

Certainly we’ll be trying to get the best out of him because he has so much quality and you know for sure that he can help us in the remaining part of the season.”

Sessegnon will hope to feature in Sunday’s derby match with Chelsea, with Fulham as big as 6.50 to win, while Chelsea are 1.50 and the draw is 4.33.
