Liverpool did it again. The Merseyside club did the impossible. In a comeback of the century, Liverpool defeated Barcelona 4-0 in the second leg of the Champions League semifinal.

Barcelona threw away a three-goal first-leg lead and crumbled yet again.

Liverpool faced a daunting task at Anfield, and they had to overturn a 3-0 deficit, they also had to do that without Mohammed Salah and Roberto Firmino in their forward line.

Divock Origi scored an early after Mané capitalised on an error from Alba. In the second half, Wijnaldum scored two quick goals in just three minutes, and Origi struck the killer blow after a creative corner kick by Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Two goals each from Divock Origi and substitute Georginio Wijnaldum were all Liverpool needed to complete a sensational comeback. The Reds have successfully booked their second consecutive Champions League final, and Barcelona has fallen to a humiliating 4-0 loss at Anfield.

Barcelona had their chances in the first half, but they could not utilize their chances. The stadium at Anfield was utterly ecstatic; their scream gave life to the players as they battled Barcelona to submission.

Liverpool’s crazy pressing and energy made Barcelona to lose their focus. Virgil Van Dijk was instrumental in organizing the back line and keeping Lionel Messi at bay. Allison Becker produced three amazing saves that made sure that Liverpool was still in the game. Jordan Henderson was leading the team with true grit and confidence. Jurgen Klopp prepared his players physically and mentally, and they rewarded him.

Barcelona has them to blame, and they lost focus and concentration many times. The team failed to click, and many players were not in form. They gave away the balls in crucial areas and just couldn’t survive the high pressing from the Liverpool players. This loss is one of the worst in the history of the Catalan club.

It is definitely a night to remember at Anfield, they have completed yet another miraculous comeback in the Champions League. They will be in Madrid on the first of June, and Barcelona won’t.
