David Silva set to join new MLS club Inter Miami

​Spanish defender David Silva is set to sign up for Major League Soccer side Inter Miami once his contract with Manchester City expires in the summer.

A lot of reports have emerged which claim that Inter Miami are set to sign their first superstar, who is none other than David Silva.

The 33-year-old, is one of most successful players in Europe, as he has won a World Cup, two European Cups with Spain, four Premier Leagues, two FA Cups, and four League Cups with Manchester City. The midfielder he joined Manchester City in 2010 and has twice been named to the Premier League Team of the Season.

Since he joined City, he has scored 71 goals and provided 134 assists in 402 matches. This season he has appeared in all of City’s five Premier League games. With Spain, he has 123 caps, scored 35 goals, and provided 32 assists.

David has also previously played for Valencia, Eibar and Celta Vigo before moving to Manchester.

Before the Premier League season commenced, he stated he would leave Manchester City once his contract expired in the summer and will not represent any other Premier League side.

The diminutive midfielder has previously made known his desire to end his playing days with hometown club Las Palmas. However, he is now possibly going to sign up to David Beckham’s latest project in Florida. The ex-England star is a part-owner of Inter Miami.

They will participate in their debut MLS campaign in 2020 and Beckham thinks that a player like Silva is of enormous value when it comes to promoting their brand and drawing in new fans.
