The 2018/2019 Premier League season will soon come to an end. There have been spectacular goals scored and incredible performances by many teams.
The subsequent English football league matches will determine which team will clinch the Premier League trophy. It will also decide which teams will make it to the top four and which teams will be relegated.
Below are seven decisive upcoming English football league matches that will decide the fate of many teams in the English Premier League.
1. Liverpool vs. Tottenham
Liverpool will see their resolve for the Premier League crown tested when they face Tottenham Hotspurs on the 31st of March. Tottenham are also in the race to stay in the top four and will face stiff opposition at Anfield.
2. Everton vs. Arsenal
The Toffees will square up against the North Londoners on the 7th of April. The Gunners will not find it easy against Everton, who have been in good form of late. This crucial game will be decisive to Unai Emery’s men.
3. Liverpool vs. Chelsea
The Merseyside club will face Chelsea in a crunch game on the 14th of April. Chelsea will be hoping to beat Liverpool in their own backyard in order to keep their top four races alive. In short, both teams really need to win this game.
4. Manchester City vs. Tottenham
Manchester City will face Tottenham in a game that might decide the fate of both teams. Man City will play Tottenham on the 20th of April. The two clubs are already paired together in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. Manchester City will need to win this game at home if they need to win the league this season.
5. Manchester United vs. Manchester City
The Manchester derby will hold on the 24the of April, barely four days after meeting Tottenham. The Manchester derby will be crucial for both teams. The Red Devils will have to win the Citizens on that day if they are playing in the Champions League next season.
6. Manchester United vs. Chelsea
The Blues will travel to the Etihad on the 28th of April. This game could possibly decide which team clinches the top four spot.
7. Burnley vs. Arsenal
This will probably be last game of the Premier League. It would mean a lot for Burnley who are currently fighting relegation and Arsenal who are struggling to stay in the top four.
