Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri was already breaking records after beginning his spell in charge of the blues. With 12 games unbeaten in his first 12 Premier League games, the longest of any debutant manager since the league’s inception 26 years ago, he looked like he had it all covered.

Now things are all falling apart. Maurizio SarrI’s side is currently sixth in the table and was recently embarrassed by Manchester City 6-0.

These recent results show that Chelsea needs to spend this summer. They might have already secured the services of Higuain and Christian Pulisic, but they do need more.

Here are three players that Chelsea needs to buy this summer.

1. Leon Bailey

The current wingers at Chelsea are Willian, Pedro and Eden Hazard; while the younger options are Callum Hudson-Odoi and Charly Musonda. But they need someone who’s young and also got some experience.

Chelsea has been linked with Leon Bailey as they search for long-term replacements for Willian and Pedro. The 21-year-old Jamaican international can be the ideal one for Chelsea on the right wing with Musonda or Pulisic providing back up.

2. Kalidou Koulibaly

Kalidou Koulibaly may be sought after by Manchester United, but that doesn’t stop Chelsea from signing him. Koulibaly is a reliable and robust defender who would fit into Chelsea’s system perfectly.

Club captain Gary Cahill is already showing signs of ageing and Koulibaly would be great as his replacement. More so, Kalidou Koulibaly has played under Darrin during his time at Napoli.

3. Jose Gimenez

Jose Gimenez was said to be one of the best young centre-backs in the world. The 24-year-old Uruguayan international would be the ideal signing for Chelsea this summer as he can play as a centre back and also as right back.

He can challenge Andreas Christensen for a spot in centre-back and also put pressure on Azpilicueta at right back. The Athletico Madrid will also fit into Sarri’s game plan.
