3 things we learned from the 2019 Champions League Finals

Favorites Liverpool FC had lifted the UEFA Champions League for the sixth time and their convincing win had sealed an amazing season for the Reds.
The Champions League itself had become very interesting this season with several top teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea unexpectedly booted out of the competition earlier than expected, with others enjoying impressive comebacks that will be remembered throughout history.
With the 2019 UEFA Champions League over, here are three things we learned from the finals.
Stricter punishment needed against Pitch invaders
Pitch invasion seems to be quite frequent these days with almost every major football tournament having one particularly in the finals. Despite stricter punishments, it continues to happen. This is due to the massive advertorial gain one was to obtain versus the punishments. According to MetroUK the most recent pitch invasion was valued at £3 million worth of prime-time advertising, so much worth it compared the crime punishment which is just a lifetime ban from the sport, and a couple of hours jail time and a fine of €15,000 (£13,000). Perhaps it’s time to increase the punishment for the offenders.
Champions League remains unpredictable
Nobody expected Liverpool and Spurs to end up in the finals, but they did. In fact, Liverpool was considered outsider to win the coveted championship against heavy weights like Barcelona, Real Madrid and even Manchester City. That said, the unexpected happened and Liverpool are now champions of Europe football. On the other end of things, Spurs also made huge gains by making it to the finals. The outsiders of the competition stormed into the finals and are now considered one of the big names in Europe football thanks to their good run in the competition and the domestic league.
Jurgen Klopp is a mastermind
While Liverpool’s triumph in the Champions League is probably unexpected, it was not surprising. This is thanks to the massive improvements Liverpool had made under manager Jurgen Kloop. Last season, Liverpool already advanced to the finals but failed to lift the cup after being defeated to Real Madrid.l He made sure his team didn’t repeat last season’s defeat by signing some very capable players, and now, the Champions League is Liverpool’s!
