The North Londoners travelled to the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, on Sunday afternoon for a crucial game against Manchester City.

Just like how the first leg was in August, Manchester City won comfortably over the gunners. The gunners had a game plan in mind as they went to Manchester City. They plan it was obviously to play deep and frustrate the City players. However all that failed so quickly, and then Manchester City was able to dictate the game. The 3-1 defeat was utterly disappointing. Argentinian striker, Aguero broke the deadlock after just 46 seconds into the game. Laurent Koscielny’s levelled with a nicely taken goal, but Aguero scored his hat trick, after two close-range finishes.

Here are three major talking points from the game.

3 Aguero is a super striker

It is fair to say that Aguero does not always get the credit he deserves. He has been a prolific striker in the English Premier League seasons, yet he is hardly mentioned among all-time Premier League greats.  This latest hat trick means he has now scored 157 goals for City in the Premier League.

2.  Stephan Lichtsteiner isn’t a perfect replacement for Hector Bellerin

It was always clear that Hector Bellerin’s injury was going to be a significant concern for Arsenal. His replacement, Stephan Lichtsteiner proved just that. In the match against Manchester City, he was dribbled continuously by Raheem Sterling.  Raheem Sterling even assisted two of Sergio Aguero’s goals after scurrying past the Swiss full-back.

1. Matteo Guendouzi had a standout performance

It will be hard to pick out any positives from the Arsenal team, but Matteo Guendouzi should definitely be one. The young midfielder played well, especially in the first half, after he recovered possession six times and completed 100 percent of his 22 pass attempts. Considering he was up against the toughest midfield in the Premier League, he stood his ground and put up a good shift.

Arsenal’s next match will be with bottom-placed Huddersfield Town next Saturday while Manchester City will face Everton.
