World number one Dustin Johnson insists his game is in good shape as he tries to win his 18th PGA Tour title at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Sunday.

The American will compete with countryman Ted Potter Jr as the duo will start the final round with a share of the lead.

Johnson had started the day in a share of first but Potter Jr climbed 22 places thanks to his sensational round of 62.

He is now 11.00 to win the tournament with Dafabet but a number of players remain in contention.

Johnson’s less dramatic two-under 70 saw him at least remain at the top at 14-under par, although former world number one Jason Day is within touching distance.

The Australian is two shots back alongside Troy Merritt, while Steve Stricker, Patrick Rodgers and Jon Rahm are all tied in fifth on 11-under par.

While Rory McIlroy missed the cut, Johnson continues to shine at the top of the world rankings and he will be looking for his third victory at Pebble Beach.

In his last nine rounds at the famous course, he has a combined score of 32-under par and Johnson feels his game is in a good place.

“Sunday you start focusing just a little bit more,” Johnson told the PGA Tour.

“Probably should have had a little bit more focus today maybe, but I still got it around OK.

“All in all, the game’s pretty sharp. I feel like it’s in really good form going into tomorrow.”

Johnson is the 1.80 favourite to win this weekend, while Day is still in the running at odds of 4.75.
