Who are the most successful English football clubs in the last 10 years?
English football has improved a lot in the last decade. 10 years ago, Manchester City was never really challenged for the Premier League trophy, but they are always favourites to win the League. Today, you will find out the most successful English football clubs in the last 10 years. From the year 2009 to 2019, we will be examining which English football club has won the most European trophies, Premier League titles, as well as domestic cups.
4. Arsenal – 3 Major trophies
The Gunners have won 3 major trophies in the last 10 years. They have successfully won the English FA Cup 3 times in the past decade. They won FA Cup in 2014, 2015 and 2017. It would interest you to know that Arsenal holds the highest number of FA Cup trophies, with 13, more than any English football club.
3. Manchester City – 8 Major trophies
Manchester City has been in splendid form since the past decade. Manchester City was purchased in September 2008 by Abu Dhabi United Group and received considerable financial support. Since then, they were able to sign top players and coaches, which have led them to win so many trophies.
City won the English Premier League in 2012, 2014 and, just recently in 2018. They also become the first Premier League team to reach 100 points in one season. They have won the FA just once in the last decade that was in 2011. During the last decade, Manchester City has also won the EFL Cup for times in 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2019.

Manchester United has so far won the same number of trophies as Manchester City. However, we placed them ahead of City because they have won a European title.
Manchester United is undoubtedly the most successful English football club in the world. Nonetheless, they have not been the most successful English team in the last 10 years. They have so far won one Europa League, three Premier League titles, one FA Cup, and three League Cup titles in the last decade.
1. Chelsea – 10 Major trophies
Yes, Chelsea is the most successful English football club in the last ten years. The Blues previously had limited success in various cup competitions prior to 2003 when the club was purchased by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich. Since then, the London club has won 18 trophies, 10 of which came in the last ten years.
Chelsea is the only English team to have the UEFA Champions League in the last decade. They have also won the Premier League thrice, four FA Cup and one League Cup. Chelsea also won the UEFA Europa League in 2013.
