Swansea City manager Carlos Carvalhal believes Saturday’s Premier League clash at Huddersfield Town will be an exciting spectacle as both teams like to play positive football.

The Swans have been on a fantastic run of form since Carvalhal took charge at the end of December and, with nine games remaining, the club are sitting 13th in the table, three points clear of the bottom three.

A 4-1 victory at home to West Ham United last time out was one of the highlights of the season for the Welsh outfit and they head to West Yorkshire having suffered just one defeat from their last seven league matches.

Carvalhal has also guided his side to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and they have been drawn against Tottenham, who exited the Champions League in midweek at the hands of Juventus, in the last-eight.

Premier League safety still remains the priority for the Portuguese tactician and he is looking forward to taking his side to relegation rivals Huddersfield because the Terriers won’t play negative football.

“We are a positive team and we will play against a team who are positive,” Carvalhal was quoted as saying by the club’s official website.

“Huddersfield like to have the ball and they like to attack, and for sure it will be two positive teams on Saturday even though both are fighting to stay up.

“It will not be a negative game. Both teams want to have the ball so let’s see what happens.”

Swansea are 3.10 to pick up the win, the same price as the draw, whilst Huddersfield, who are 15th and three points above the drop zone, are marginal 2.50 favourites.
