The 2018/2019 Premier League season provided an opportunity for many players to prove their worth.

Many players took this opportunity and grew in leaps and bounds in the English Premier League this season.

Here is a list of top 5 most improved players in the Premier League this season.


Iwobi is one player who improved under new coach Unai Emery. Looking at his statistics, you won’t see much goals and assists, because he has three goals and four assists in 24 league games this season so far. Nevertheless, Iwobi’s overall performance has improved a lot.

This season it is obvious that his confidence has returned, and he is always willing to push forward with the ball. 


Chilwell initially struggled to break into Leicester’s first team last season, now he’s a regular at Leicester and is even sought after by Manchester City.

Chilwell has been in fine form for the Foxes this season. It is clearly obvious because they have been improvements in his play; he has more confidence and looks better when it comes to positioning and decision-making.


Aaron made his debut for Crystal Palace last season, and this season, he has started 25 out of 27 league games.

Wan-Bissaka has been putting up standout performances this season in defense, and also offensively. His impressive displays have attracted interest from the top Premier sides.


Bernado Silva has been very vital to Manchester City this season. He has become an established member of the City squad and makes the starting lineup every week. Silva is without a doubt one the most improved players in the Premier League this season.

In City’s last match against Liverpool, Silva covered more distance than any player on the pitch. His hard work has earned him Guardiola’s trust, and now he is a key squad member.


The Dutchman seems like a player reborn this season. Wijnaldum has been putting up brilliant displays for Liverpool this season. He has played the most minutes of any Liverpool players and has completed more passes than any player too.

Wijnaldum has definitely improved this season and will be vital to Liverpool’s title push.
