Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba’s future at Manchester United seems even more uncertain with reports coming up that the French midfielder has told his team mates he wants to leave Old Trafford.

According to a report by Daily Mail, “Paul Pogba has told his Manchester United team-mates that he wants to leave this summer and the club will not stand in his way of a move to Real Madrid”, a clear signal that Pogba will force his way out of the club regardless of whatever offer is made to keep him at United.

It is a known fact that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants the French man to stay, but Pogba’s tone shows determination to leave and United will likely to agree to sell than keep a disgruntled player at hand.

With Pogba’s transfer looking imminent, here’s players that United might likely want to obtain to fill in the gap left by Pogba.

Miralem Pjanic (Juventus)

Miralem Pjanic came to Juventus when Pogba left for United in 2016.  His style of play is like Pogba, but he excels better in passing and play better as a box-to-box midfielder in comparison to Pobga.  With Pogba also rumored to a move to Juventus, United could opt to a swap deal to bring Pjanic to Old Trafford.  His ability in taking free-kicks is an added bonus to United.

Christian Eriksen (Tottenham Hotspur)

Christian Eriksen is loving life at Spurs but he may be tempted to move to Old Trafford if the offer is right.  The Dane plays best as a central attacking midfielder making him a very good option if Solskjaer intends to retain United’s attacking style of play. Eriksen is excellent at passing the ball and he is also great at opening space. Like Pianic, Eriksen is also a set-piece specialist with a powerful shooting ability.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Lazio)

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is a wizard on the ball and can score a significant number of goals from the midfield. His versatility means he can move forward and play defensively when required, making him a complete midfielder.  It is said that the Serb’s stay at Lazio is numbered if the teams fails to qualify for the Champions League this season and United may just be the fresh start Milinkovic-Savic needs if they are looking for a replacement for Pogba.
