Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will remain with Borussia Dortmund beyond the January transfer window unless the club’s demands are met fully by Arsenal, according to sporting director Michael Zorc.

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Signal Iduna Park this month with Arsenal edging towards a deal.

The former Saint-Etienne man has been prolific during his time in Germany, netting 98 times in 143 Bundesliga appearances, and Arsene Wenger is keen to add some firepower to his squad following the exit of Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United.

It’s understood that the two clubs are still trying to negotiate on a fee for the striker, while reports also claim that Dortmund are keen to see Olivier Giroud included.

Dortmund, who are priced at 10.00 to win the Europa League, hold all the cards with the transfer window set to slam shut on Wednesday and Zorc insists Aubameyang will be staying put if their demands aren’t met.

Zorc said: “Either our demands are met and there will be a transfer, or they aren’t met and Auba will play in Dortmund until summer.

“This is how we discussed it with his family [the player’s father is his agent] and how it is agreed upon.

“We have a clear position. We’re ready, with certain conditions, to make a transfer happen, but only when all conditions are completely met.

“So far Arsenal have tried and we’ve rejected everything.”

Dortmund’s fans have already made their feelings toward Aubameyang clear as he was heavily booed throughout Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Freiburg.
