Lucas Moura says Tottenham must keep the faith in regards to qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League after suffering another dent to their hopes on Wednesday night.

Spurs made the trip to the Philips Stadion looking for their first European points of the season, having lost 2-1 to both Inter Milan and Barcelona, and they looked on course to leave Holland with the win.

Mexico international Hirving Lozano, who was linked with a summer move to the Premier League, had put PSV into the lead before Moura and Harry Kane scored either side of half-time to give Tottenham a 2-1 advantage.

However, goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was given his marching orders on the 79th minute and the English outfit failed to handle the late onslaught as Luuk de Jong grabbed an equaliser three minutes from time.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are third in Group B, eight points behind leaders Barcelona and five adrift of second-place Inter Milan with just three matches remaining.

Spurs’ qualification hopes are hanging by a thread but Moura, who has netted four times in all competitions this season, is adamant his side can still book their place in the last 16.

“We need to believe. I think we can qualify and we believe,” he said.

“We have three games left. We have the quality to qualify. We have to keep working, so let’s look forward to the next game.”

Tottenham play host to PSV in their next European fixture on November 6 and the home side are 1.36 favourites to win, a draw is priced at 5.25 whilst the visitors, who also have one point from their first three games, are the 8.00 outsiders.
