The season may be far from over, but fans of Sarawak FA are starting to be concerned with the growing injury list of the team.

Today, fans were greeted with news of another possible injury to the team, putting the total of unavailable players to three for Sarawak FA.

The first to enter the list was winger Abdul Rahim, before he was joined by experienced midfielder and defender Benedict Martin a couple of weeks before.

The news today is that Shamie Iszuan had also made the list.

All three players are likely miss out on the match against UKM FC in Cheras, putting a favourable win for Sarawak uncertain against a hard working side like UKM.

Another player which is uncertain is foreign player Muamer Salibasic who was previously reported to be ‘unfit’.  However, rumours have suggested that he is fit to play, and even made a wonderful assist when Sarawak were defeated by Sabah FA in the recent Borneo Derby.

Nonetheless, the list of injuries featuring key players in the Sarawak FA team is alarming given the fact that Sarawak does not have enough depth within their reserve line-up.

The lack of quality in the midfield of Sarawak is also a cause of concern for Sarawak fans as many had noted that the team failed to control the midfield section in previous matches.

Sarawak’s reserve players consist of inexperience youngster whom had never played football at the Liga Malaysia level, and this is something fans are already discussing on social media and the street.

As it seems, the midfield of Sarawak is the hardest hit so far, with all three players listed either being able to play as midfielders or are playing in the midfield section of the team.

Many said that the lack of depth in the midfield would only get worst due to the injuries hitting regular players.

This therefore means that Sarawak head coach Anai Igang is likely to either thinker his tactics to decrease the number of midfielders he uses in the match against UKM FC, or he is likely to bring in inexperienced players to fill in the gap.

It therefore remains to be seen how Anai would tackle the problem faced by Sarawak now, but he does need to find a winning solution fast as fans are starting to get restless due to the lack of favorable results.
