Besiktas goalkeeper Fabri is reported to have arrived in London to undergo a medical ahead of a proposed move to Fulham.

Fulham have been pursuing a deal with the Turkish club, with a fee agreed over the weekend, after the departure of David Button to Premier League rivals Brighton last week.

Sources in Turkey report that the Cottagers will stump up a fee of around £6.25m to secure their new custodian.

Besiktas have already confirmed that talks are ongoing with Fulham over the transfer, while club official Ali Naibi revealed that unless there is a last minute change of plans, Fabri will be joining the Premier League outfit.

“We have reached an agreement with Fulham, the last details remain,” he said.

“Unless a disagreement arises, Fabri will play in the Premier League.”

The Spanish goalkeeper kept 12 clean sheets last season as Besiktas finished fourth in the Turkish Super Lig.

The 30-year-old shot stopper has also confirmed that terms have been agreed on the switch.

He told reporters: “As you know the Premier League is a major league and one I am interested in joining.

Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing but there is a verbal agreement with Fulham. I want to thank Besiktas for my time here.”

Slavisa Jokanovic has already been busy this summer, with the Cottagers boss signing Nice pair Jean Michael Seri and Maxime Le Marchand in deals worth £30million.

Ahead of their Premier League return, the Championship play-off final winners are also being linked with a move for Young Boys defender Kevin Mbabu.
