Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki has been getting rave reviews for his fantastic performances for the Canaries; here are five things to know about the Finnish frontman.

Finnish international striker Teemu Pukki has been stealing the headlines from the top strikers in the Premier League after scoring goals vital goals for his club.  The 29-year-old forward had scored a consolation goal in the 4-1 defeat to Liverpool in their first Premier League game, but soon followed it up with a hattrick in a 3-1 win over Newcastle United. He also scored in the Canaries’ epic 3-2 win over Manchester City.

Here are 5 five things to know about Teemu Pukki.

1. Key to Norwich’s promotion from the Championship last season

Teemu Pukki played a vital role in Norwich City’s promotion to the Premier League last season. He scored an astonishing 29 goals for his side, and none of the goals came from penalties.

2. First Norwich player to score a hattrick since 1993

Pukki’s hattrick in the 3-1 win over Newcastle not only gave the newly promoted side their first win of the new season but also put him in the record books. He became the first Canaries player to score a hattrick at the top level since Efan Ekoku struck four goals against Everton in September 1993.

3. Signed for Norwich City on a free transfer

They said the good things in life are free, and that was the case for Norwich City. In June 2018, Pukki joined Norwich City on a free transfer and signed a three-year deal

4. Played in six different countries

Teemu Pukki is a well-traveled footballer, having played in six different countries and Leagues. He began his youth career when he joined his official hometown club, KTP in Finland. He then went on to have spells in Sevilla in Spain, HJK Helsinki in Finland, Schalke 04 in Germany, Celtic in Scotland, Brøndby in Denmark and Norwich City in England.

5. Complete Striker

Teemu Pukki is widely regarded by many as the ideal striker. He possesses excellent linkup play, an eye for goal, directness and lethal finishing.

He has scored six goals and provided two assists six matches in the EPL so far.
