3 things we learned from the DDM FC vs Kuching FA match

Kuching failed further extend their lead in the Liga M3 yesterday as they were held by DDM FC at Kuala Lumpur Football Academy field to a one all draw.
The match had always been expected to be tough, but Kuching was expected to win it, nonetheless.
Their inability to win the match however showed that teams are starting to learn a thing or two about this Kuching based team, and here’s what I learned after learning the match.
Kuching needs clinical finishers
The match against DDM FC proved that Kuching is in dire need of better strikers. During the match, Kuching not only controlled the match but had countless efforts on goal, but only one went in. The lack of goals despite tones of golden opportunities proves that Kuching is in dire need of a clinical finisher in the last quarter of the box if they want to win matches in the future.
Talented tactician in Ideris Untong
Kuching played a very fluid match against DDM FC, changing their tactical approach according to the needs of the game. Players were played at their preferred positions and this resulted in many performing admirably during the match. The brilliance in the team’s tactical approach reflects well on its head coach Ideris Untong, and I can only see better things from him in the future.
Joseph Kalang Tie is important
Joseph started the match from the bench, giving an indication that Kuching had wanted him to stay out of the game if possible. However, the lack of creativity and sharpness in midfield was evident in the team, prompting Ideris Untong to sub him in. His inclusion into the match changed Kuching’s approach on the ball, and Kuching started making more dangerous attacks which led to the equalizer of the match. The presence of Joseph in the team therefore does influences his team, and this makes him a very important figure in the team.
